Below is a demo link where you can upload a normal 2D photo of a face and get back 3D interpolated photo.
The site prefers that you have a head-shot head on, not at angles and good lighting.

The technical details is a paper "Large Pose 3D Face Reconstruction from a Single Image via Direct Volumetric CNN Regression" available here.
